Our Favorite Product of September
Check out the Neatly Made Wire Shelf Dividers!
These wire shelf dividers are made specifically for 12” wire shelving. Each divider has “feet”, which easily hook into the wire shelving, keeping them secure and upright.
Most of us need to make use of every inch of our closet resulting in stacks of folded clothes on the shelves. Sometimes, these piles topple over or clothes end up scattered all over. Use these dividers to keep your stacks of clothing neatly organized :)
What to do with a storage room full of "stuff"?
Do you have a room full of boxes, bins, and who knows what else? Basically, a room that has turned into a dumping ground for everything you do not know what to do with?
This client had a creative space in her basement storage room, but it was buried under piles and piles of craft supplies, Christmas decorations, wrapping paper, and much more.
As you can see, there was no creating going on! First, she could not get into her craft space. Second, who would be able to create in this cluttered environment?
Her and I spent 6 hours working on this basement, and look at the amazing results. To see the rest of the room, check out this Instagram post.
Follow these steps to DIY your own storage room take back:
Commit a chunk of time - that could be 6-8 hours on a Saturday or 1 hour after dinner a few times a week. Whatever you decide, mark it on your calendar and commit.
Sort - place each item in the room into one of three categories: keep, donate, trash.
Categorize - take items from the keep pile and separate into piles of like items.
Containerize - put like items into a container and label the container.
Control - spend 10 minutes a week making sure everything is put back into place so the room is not overtaken again.
I hope these tips help you tackle your overrun storage space :)
