Check out these Magnetic or Tie-On Labels!
Customize bins and organize contents with these easy all-purpose labels. Their two-part design works with both metal and non-metal storage. For metal containers, the magnetic front plate secures instantly. For cloth or plastic bins, use both front and backing plates to create a magnetized hold. For bins with open weaving, the included nylon thread provides a simple tie-on solution.
This is the first label we have used for woven baskets that really works! The nylon thread is basically a fancy twist tie that you can easily work through the openings in the basket weave to hold the magnetic backing. The front plate then attaches magnetically so you never see the nylon thread. These labels work great and look good too!
Here is a video of these labels being used on woven bins in a closet we organized. You can see how nice they make the space look!

What to do with old prescription eyeglasses?
The Lions Club is an international service organization which has recognized the urgent need for corrective lenses to assist individuals with vision impairment and blindness. They collect usable glasses in their communities to support the Lions Recycle For Sight Program.
To participate in this program, simply send your collected eyeglasses to an official Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center (LERC) for processing. There, the glasses are sorted to determine if they are usable, processed, and placed in inventory for distribution to optical missions around the world. Lions help to minimize landfill waste by supporting precious metal reclamation and scrap processing for damaged glasses that are unusable.

When working with our clients, we collect their used glasses and drop them off at the Urbandale Library drop box. In the past 6 years I think we have donated at least 75-100 pairs of eyeglasses!
